Pack Ready: ITP’s thermo-laminating film

ITP SpA, in collaboration with HP Indigo, launches new instant cure laminating films for flexible packaging.

ITP SpA (Thermoplastic Industry Pavese), specialized manufacturer of co-extruded film and polyolefin materials in reels for packaging, has developed its range of polyester films for Pack Ready lamination solutions, devised in collaboration with HP Indigo, leading manufacturer of digital printing machines.
Expert in the manufacture of polyolefin films for food and industrial packaging, ITP has been working on new co-extruded film for high performance thermo-laminating in terms of adherence to bi-orientated film printed with HP Indigo digital presses.
Eliminating the use of glues or adhesives, the flexible packaging can hence be made immediately after the lamination process. With zero curing times and with minimum waste, the converters can in fact benefit from a “ready to use” solution, which meets food use safety and reliability standards.
As Massimo Centonze, CEO of ITP states: «we are proud to have supported HP Indigo regarding research on plastic films and the development of a proposal capable of deeply renewing the flexible packaging market, like the HP Indigo Pack Ready Laminator. In other words, partnering in the project with the HP Indigo team offered us the precious opportunity to contribute actively to a great technological innovation within the flexible field».
The films, which will be marketed globally, were presented at the HP Indigo Worldwide VIP Event (Tel Aviv, 20-22 February 2018).
The ITP technical and sales team will also be bringing the Pack Ready polyolefin films to the next Ipack-Ima (Milan, 29 May 1-June, 2018).
