Make the invisible visible

Nuceria Group has been involved in the restyling project of the Petti tomato puree line, with the aim of transmitting to the final consumer the excellence of an Italian product and the values that have always distinguished the timehonored food preserve company: the quality of selected raw materials, attention to“green”issues, variety of supply and care in the packaging.
These “intangible” assets have hence been best interpreted by Nuceria, focusing on the maximum transparency of a personalized bottle and a  “no label look” label to show the product in its entirety (“the tomato is at the center” as the claim on the pack aptly states). Without concealing anything, Petti has managed to build a close relationship of trust with the consumer, a receiver of clear and effective communication, which minimizes the risks of erroneous interpretations.

Thanks to the choice of the no label look and the presence of special laminates that make the packaging elegant and attractive, the product has naturally gained a premium positioning.
Lastly, to be underlined  the effectiveness in the packaging phase, in particular the speed of labeling and reduction of machine stops, as well as the savings on production costs and the benefits of recyclability and efficiency resulting from the use of the PET liner as a replacement for silicon paper.

Less waste and more security with Mondi soluble film

Mondi’s Technical Films Business has developed a soluble film, designed for packaging and intelligent (and cost-effective) dosing of personal and home care products. Dissolving completely even in cold water, it is perfect for making single doses of powder and granular detergents, as well as tabs for washing in a dishwasher or washing machine.

Thanks to the excellent weldability and seal properties, the film provides an effective barrier to oxygen and ensures consumers against the risk of accidental contact with the product. Considered biodegradable and non-toxic, it facilitates the reduction of packaging waste.

Disposal of special waste costs less with Evergreen

After eliminating formaldehyde from its water-based formulations, the Renner Italia paint manufacturer has undertaken another interesting environmental initiative by packaging its Aquaris branded products into innovative Evergreen tins, thus dramatically reducing special waste disposal (packaging dirtied with paint, in fact, is considered as special waste and must be disposed of as such).

Evergreen is a tinplate internally covered with a high density polyethylene sheet, a highly durable material that adheres perfectly to the body and bottom of the container.
Once the paint or varnish in the tin has been used up, the polyethylene sheet dirtied with paint is removed and disposed of, making the metal part of the packaging recyclable as such. And since the dirty PE sheet weighs just over a tenth of a tinplate can, disposal costs are reduced by 85%. (renneritalia.com/evergreen)

A glass bottle at km 0

Produced at the O-I plant in San Polo di Piave (TV), the bottle made for the prosecco lines by Vigna Dogarina (that produces near the glassworks) is a project at km 0 in the Prosecco area.
The complete restyling of the bottle is part of the plan of integration and revival of the Treviso winery, which aims to differentiate not only for the quality of the product but also in the packaging.

O-I has therefore created a personalized bottle to enhance the brand’s premium positioning: lighter, more elegant and slimmer than the previous model, embellished with a logo engraved on the neck of the container it will be used for the  entire line of proseccho to facilitate recognition of the brand, entrusting the label with the task of identifying the various wines.

Carefully selected raw materials and strict protocols throughout the supply chain guarantee the attention to quality in these products, which are offered in practical formats.

The_Verde_Bio-min-PICCOLAIn particular, Energade BIO represents an unprecedented novelty in the world of sport drinks. With no artificial coloring or preservatives, it is available in a practical 0.5 l format in the flavors lemon-lime with aloe and red berries with goji berry. The range’s packaging has been restyled in order to convey greater dynamicity and highlight one of the advantages of the product, namely that these are natural mineral water products that refresh while also restoring the minerals one’s body loses during any physical activity.

As for the ice teas, San Benedetto has added to the slim personal 0.4 l bottle a new 0.65 l family format.

Finally, the packaging for San Benedetto Baby Bio (an organic line for children featuring 30% fruit pulp) offers fun new graphics. The little blue protagonists of the Sony Pictures film “Smurfs: The Lost Village” smile at the young user from 0.25 l bottles, a strong message for small children, who will delight themselves with the pull & push closure as they drink.

Full-fledged sports drink

Acque Minerali d’Italia and PET Engineering continue to work together following the success of the Norda Exclusive project for the HO.RE.CA. sector. PET Engineering has been put in charge of the restyling of the bottle for Sangemini Sport (65 cl).

Project objective: to make a clear and distinctive vehicle for the produt’s peculiar positioning, no longer to be considered an ordinary mineral water, but rather as a full-fledged sports drink, bringing it in line with the brand’s new look, which has been updated to better reflect the compan’s corporate image.

In order to ensure immediate recognizability by the target consumer – in this case atheletes and more generally anyone who exercizes – the packaging developed by PET Engineering takes its inspiration from the robust and compact shape of the canteens used by cyclists and marathon runners.

The reclosable anti-drip valve cap, squeezable grip and carbon look milling that recalls the material used to build sporting bikes confers a markedly technical feel to Sangemini Sport’s new look, perfectly representing the image of the official water of Giro d’Italia 2017.

Carlo Pessina, CEO of Acque Minerali d’Italia Group, expresses his satisfaction with the project’s results.

«Packaging is an increasingly important element in the marketing of mineral water and beverages generally, especially when it identifies a specific target consumer, expressing the close relationship between product functionality and consumption behavior. That’s why for the Sangemini Sport 65 cl. We wanted an innovative packaging with a strong personality, able to represent the product’s identity and valorize its positioning on the market».

See. Touch. Feel.

A journey of the senses in discovery of unique products: Luxoro opens its own exhibition space at Paper&People, Europe’s largest graphic paper showroom.

“See. Touch. Feel.” Those words evoke an experience that is at once physical and emotive. It is to feeling that Luxoro appeals in adopting these words as the pay-off of the promotional campaign behind a new initiative at the Paper&People showroom in Milan (15 June through to the end of the year). Appearing at what has become a go-to event for design and communications professionals marks an exception for Luxoro, which for the first time presented there paper and board products beyond its standard fair sample selection.

«At what I like to call a “library specialized in beauty”, we wished to create a space of our own, where everyone could see and touch the beauty of labels, packaging and printed products made using the foils of the Kurz Group, for which we are the exclusive distributors in Italy» explained Luxoro CEO Jana Kokrhanek at the popular “vernissage”.

And so the best of graphic decoration was on show, with the precise objective of sharing an experience resulting from a balanced mix of style, innovation and technology «Which – as Kokrhanek points out – is not exclusively targeted at luxury products, but interprets an ideal of beauty that has now become part of the collective imagination.

Basically, we feel ourselves to be “beauty communicators for the printing industry”, and in this we are truly fortunate. What we like to do is explore new ways for familiarizing the market with the endless possibilities of our offer by providing a far-reaching consulting service on everything from selecting materials to identifying the most appropriate decorative effects for a given product. We do this with a sincere desire to pique the curiosity of potential users».

THE LUXORO SPACE AT PAPER&PEOPLE

It features an urban style and a deconstructed visual concept that highlight a selection of the finest decoration (packaging, labels, covers, inserts).

Visitors can find plenty of Hinderer+Mühlich plates, veritable works of art in copper that light up the paper with reliefs, engraving and micro- and nano-incisions for both hot foil stamping and dry applications.

Containers for liquid with reduced environmental impact

Developed for Dow AgroSciences liquid crop protection formulations  thanks to their features the tanks developed by RPC Promens Industrial and RPC Promens Innocan guarantee improved logistics and reduced environmental impact.

The 10 and 15-liter bespoke PET containers feature a safety top specifically designed for storage and stacking, and eliminates the need for an outer cardboard case.

The square design ensures high strength, durability, as well as improved handling for the end user: The centered neck of 63 mm is compatible with closed transfer systems and allows easy pouring, while bore seal safety caps (to be separated when recycling) dramatically reduce operator exposure to the concentrated product.

Lighter than about 30% of the HDPE cans used so far, they provide a further and significant benefit: The optimization of the  pallet load and subsequent transport by truck that, along with weight reduction, leads to a  20% carbon footprint reduction per litre throughout the entire life cycle of the container.
